Mille Miglia 2016 – From Brescia to Rome
The Mille Miglia, which is Italian for one thousand miles, was one of the world’s most important long distance races held in Italy since 1927. Nowadays the Mille Miglia is a regularity race for historic automobiles built from 1927 to 1957.
Mille Miglia 2016 is upon: starts on Wednesday May 18 and ends on Sunday May 22. The tribute to the original Mille Miglia race traditionally starts in Brescia. From there it passes through Rimini, Rome and Parma before returning to Brescia again.
To cover the total distance of 1,000 miles the colourful high speed parade with teams from all over the world needs four days and three nights.
Considered a "traveling museum" the Mille Miglia is a must for lovers of classic cars because since 88 years has been characterized by the exclusive in choosing cars involved.
The race,still reflects the Italian Essenza, but participated in it competitors from 42 different countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Israel, Russia, Singapore, and Thailand, among others.
