Are you ready for a 3-day trip full of emotions and noise? The San Marino and Rimini Coast's motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event that is part of the World Motorcycle Racing season and it’s held at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The championship is currently divided into three classes: MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3. All three classes use four-stroke engines. The 2018 MotoGP season comprises 19 Grands Prix, with 12 held in Europe, four in Asia, two in the Americas, and one in Australia.
From the 7th to the 9th of September the greatest riders will compete in the Misano circuit and the challenge is going to be terrific. The six-time World Champion Marc Marquez (Honda team) is in the lead now, followed by Valentino Rossi (Yamaha team) and - for sure - if you check the ranking, 49 points are a lot, but everything could happen. In third place, Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati team) has been showing all his qualities and he has confirmed himself as a riders with a tremendous potential. There are also Maverik Vinales (Yamaha team) and Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati team) that will give you an unprecedented challenge.
The local area has produced some great riders. The late Marco Simoncelli was from the nearby town of Cattolica, and also Dovizioso, Rossi, and Marco Melandri all grew up in the region as well. The first Grand Prix event to take place at Misano was in 1980 and the venue has become a permanent fixture on the MotoGP calendar since 2007, after it was completely revised and remodelled.
